Jesus proved to be a provider, sustainer, life-giver, anchor and rock at the onset of the covid-19 pandemic. Where fear and anxiety seized the hearts of many, they were fortunate to experience His beyond-understanding peace in the midst of unprecedented times. It was always The Lord’s call on the lives of Jay T. and Christine to church plant. The pandemic provided a golden opportunity to finally start. People needed hope and reassurance of God’s love and abilities. They have experienced that firsthand throughout their lives, so it was time to share it with everyone else.
The Collide Church began as an exclusively online community on Sunday mornings in April 2020. Jay T. started leading his family in worship in their home and they had their own church services, just the four of them. Hearing about what they were doing, other family members wanted to be included as well. They began live-streaming their “family” services on social media. News of that spread and it grew into friends and extended family tuning in for their family worship hour.
Jay T. & Christine continued their in-home worship services and teaching to local, national, and international audiences every week and continued to do so for the remainder of 2020 and all of 2021. During the summer of 2021, they sensed the Lord calling them again, and that call was to in-person worship. It was time to open the doors of The Collide Church. This calling set our church in motion over a year ago to begin building, preparing, and giving to the church plant. Providence would have it that those who connected with them early on while they were virtual, emerged to be core members of their launch team. God has brought them all together for such a time as this. The Collide Church is excited to open its doors for Sunday services on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
